ELECTION DAY FOR MINERAL WELLS ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES
SATURDAY, MAY 2, 2026
AT THE PALO PINTO COUNTY MINERAL WELLS ANNEX
109 NORTH OAK AVENUE, MINERAL WELLS, TEXAS

The Mineral Wells ISD Board of Trustees is composed of seven community members elected to serve, without compensation, in staggered, three-year terms. While candidates run for specific places, they do not represent specific geographical areas; rather, each represents Mineral Wells ISD at large. The elections of all trustees shall be held in a joint election, pursuant to the Texas Election Code, Chapter 271, with state and county officers. Vacancies occurring after an election are filled by appointment until the next election is conducted.

  • Place 6 - Lauretta Poole
  • Place 7 - Maria Jones

Requirements/Eligibility/Qualifications:

Pick up candidate packet from the Office of the Superintendent at 906 SW 5th Avenue.

REQUIRED items to be completed and returned to Superintendent’s office include:

  1. Application for MWISD General Election Ballot – Deadline to file is February 13, 2026, 4:30 p.m.
  1. Form CFCP – Code of Fair Campaign Practices
  1. Form CTA – Appointment of a Campaign Treasurer by a Candidate

Return the completed application to Lizbeth Paez in the Superintendent's office. 

Completed applications must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on February 13, 2026.

Saturday, May 2, 2026 (election day) at 7:00 p.m. if carrier envelope is not postmarked, OR Monday, May 4, 2026 (next business day after Election Day) at 5:00 p.m. if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7:00 p.m. at the location of the election on Election Day (unless overseas or military voter deadlines apply)
