About Us

Students
MWISD offers numerous academic and athletic extra-curricular activities. Service organizations, clubs, and academic contests provide for a well-rounded school experience.

Junior high and  high school students participate in competitive academics and sports governed by the University Interscholastic League (UIL).  Campus libraries are hubs for internet research and great reads. Whether your children are interested in art, band, choir, or theatre, Mineral Wells ISD has outstanding programs at all secondary levels that will educate their minds, stimulate their creativity, and provide them with excitement and self-discipline that will last a lifetime.

Elementary students participate in academics UIL, Battle of the Books and the Scripps Spelling Bee. In sixth grade, students may elect to add band, choir, or advanced art to their schedule. Encouraging a love of fine arts is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child.  That is why at Mineral Wells ISD, music and art is offered at all grade levels.
