This day is important because students are celebrating learning at least 100 new things this school year and they are 100 days closer to the career of their choice. The 93rd Annual MWHS Coronation, "Love is in the Air" on Saturday, January 26th

Over the history of Mineral Wells High School, many fads and trends come and go, but the formal elegance of the Coronation remains an integral part of our year. Mineral Wells High School will be celebrating its 93rd Annual Coronation on January 26th at 8 pm in the high school auditorium. This year’s theme is “Love is in the Air”.

The evening will be spent honoring our high school royalty, enjoying our talented student entertainment, and dancing the night away at the Royal Ball. Tickets go on sale at the high school office on Friday, January 18th for $10.00 and you must have a ticket to attend the dance.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday celebrates the life and legacy of a man who brought hope and healing to America. We commemorate as well the timeless values he taught us through his example — the values of courage, truth, justice, compassion, dignity, humility and service that so radiantly defined Dr. King’s character and empowered his leadership. On this holiday, we commemorate the universal, unconditional love, forgiveness and nonviolence that empowered his revolutionary spirit.

MWISD Early Dismissal on Friday, December 21, 2018

Mineral Wells ISD secondary schools will dismiss classes by 12:55 pm on Friday, December 21, 2018. All elementary schools will dismiss at 11:50 am. Students will return to class on Tuesday, January 8th. Teachers and staff will have a Professional Development Day on Monday, January 7th.
