Inspiring, enthralling and historical, the award-winning docudrama “The Miracle Worker” by William Gibson kicks off at Mineral Wells High School November 2 -5, 2017.
Directed by Seth Williams, the play tells the moving story of the complex relationship between Helen Keller and her teacher, Annie Sullivan. Audiences will be taken behind closed doors into the Keller residence to discover the trials and tribulations that Sullivan and the Keller family faced. The tale sheds light on the human ability to overcome obstacles and entrapment against all odds. The legacy that Keller and Sullivan left behind is a prime example of real-life miracles.
Cassidy Davila as the leading role of Helen Keller and Mackenzie Lawhon will play Helen’s teacher, Annie Sullivan. The Miracle Worker is scheduled to run November 2-3 at 7 p.m., November 4 at 7:30 pm, and November 5 at 2pm. The matinee performance on Sunday will feature an ASL Interpreter and will be provided by the TCC Training program. Tickets will be sold at the door. $8 for adults and $5 for students.
