Red Ribbon Week Activities- October 28th-November 1st

Throughout Red Ribbon Week, MWISD schools host activities designed to reinforce the drug-free message. Students will participate in school activities that remind them of the dangers of drug use and unite them in a stand against illegal drugs.  The following activities are planned for each campus:
Lamar,Houston, & Travis Elementary 

“Say No to drugs” wear red

“Use your head, don’t do drugs” wear crazy hat or hair

“Team up against drugs” wear your favorite sports jersey or shirt

“My future is too bright for drugs” dress drug free for the future

Mineral Wells Jr. High School
Monday, October 28th- “Stand Strong Against Drugs”- Students will receive Red Beads at lunch to wear throughout the week in celebration of Red Ribbon Week.
Tuesday, October 29th- “Don’t Clown Around, Be Drug Free”- Wear Black…This is our Black Out Pep Rally, which will have a circus theme. Students will be given glow sticks for the Pep Rally.
Wednesday, October 30th- “Team up Against Drugs”- Wear Red… There will be a “Capture the Flag” Competition during Flex.
Thursday, October 31st- “Say Boo to Drugs”- Wear Neon… Students will receive a Halloween sucker at lunch that says, “Say Boo to Drugs”.
