Red Ribbon Week Activities- October 22nd-October 26th & October 29th-November 2nd

Throughout Red Ribbon Week, MWISD schools host activities designed to reinforce the drug-free message. Students will participate in school activities that remind them of the dangers of drug use and unite them in a stand against illegal drugs.  The following activities are planned for each campus:
 
October 22-26, 2018
 
Lamar Elementary 

• Monday: "Hats Off to Drugs" (Receive ribbons & wear a hat)
• Tuesday: "Don't be a Sucker; Be a Rock Star!" (Receive suckers & dress like a rocker)
• Wednesday: "Peace out to Drugs" (Receive stickers and wear tie-dye/ hippie attire)
• Thursday: "Be All You Can Be".  (Receive stickers and wear camo)
• Friday: "Dress for Success"  (Receive pencils and dress for your career)
 
 
Mineral Wells High School
 
Monday- Meme day- "Dress as your Favorite Drug Free Meme"
Tuesday- neon day- "We are too Bright to do Drugs'
Wednesday- Twin day- Pair up against Drugs"
Thursday- Nerd day- "Do Math, not Meth"
Friday- Ram Spirit Day “The Power of MW Rams is Stronger than an Drug will ever be”

Houston Elementary 
 
Monday: “Celebrate Being Drug Free” Wear RED
Tuesday: “I’m Drug Free From Head to Toe” Wear hat and crazy socks
Wednesday: “Being Drug Free Is No Sweat” Wear sweats
Thursday: “I’m too Bright to do Drugs” Wear sunglasses
Friday: “Rams Team Up Against Drugs” Wear Ram gear
 
 
 
Travis Elementary 
 
  • Monday- TOO BRIGHT FOR DRUGS.
    Wear sunglasses and throw some shade at drugs, pair them with a red shirt to show your support.
  • Tuesday- I HAVE THE POWER TO BE DRUG FREE.
    Wear your favorite superhero T-shirt.
  • Wednesday- DRESS FOR SUCCESS.
    Careers take you places! What do you want to be when you grow up?
  • Thursday- YOUR CHOICES ARE THE KEY TO YOUR DREAMS.
    Wear pajamas and relax knowing you will always be drug free.
  • Friday- BLACKOUT DRUGS.
    Wear black
