Mineral Wells ISD students outperform state averages on ACT

Mineral Wells Index-September 12, 2017
Overall, MWISD students registered a composite ACT score of 22.3, compared to 20.7 for the statewide composite results. The ACT test results data show that MIWSD students tested recorded their overall highest scores since 2013 in English, Reading and Science.

Ram Football Moves to 89.3 FM

Play-by-play of the Mineral Wells High School football team will be found on a new radio frequency this season. The games can be heard on 89.3 FM beginning Friday, Sept. 1.  The Rams will again be featured as part of "The Endzone," including a one-hour pregame show as well as halftime and postgame features that cover approximately 15 area schools including Mineral Wells, Weatherford, Millsap, Aledo, Gordon, Strawn, Santo and others.

Larry Elkins and MWHS graduate Shannon Hart are the new play-by-play team for the MWHS broadcasts.  In addition to the new radio signal, the broadcast can be heard online at www.qxfm.com or on the TuneIn app under "KYQX."

Lamar Elementary's Drop Off Dads Kick-Off Event!

Lamar Elementary invites fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or other father figures to volunteer at our school and assist with unloading students in the drop-off areas at our campus. Kick-off for the event is on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Lamar Elementary Cafeteria.
