December Partner in Education-Community National Bank

The mission of Community National Bank & Trust of Texas is to be the bank of choice by providing exceptional services to their customers.  Personal, professional service with integrity is top priority.

They also feel a strong responsibility to give back to the community they serve and have been very passionate about this mission and have incorporated their message into their business.

This year, Community National Bank and Trust branches sent ten teachers to the eighth annual Jump Start National Educator Conference in November, which included a three day stay at the Dallas Intercontinental Hotel in Addison. This conference aimed to provide teachers with the tools, training, encouragement and experience to educate students in personal finance.

MWISD was very excited to learn that Tammy Williams, Math teacher from MWJH was selected as one of the recipients this year.  This conference was not only a great resource for her as an educator, but it was also a way of saying thank you for her service to our schools, our youth and our financial future.

This opportunity gave attendees the chance to experience the cutting-edge of financial literacy education and receive a certificate for 15 professional development hours.   Through this generous contribution from Community National Bank, Tammy was able to see, learn about, and try educational resources to integrate immediately into current lesson plans in addition to networking with colleagues from across the country.

MWISD is thankful that Community National Bank recognizes the importance of investing in our teachers’ education as a critical step for improving overall instruction in schools.

The MW Board of Trustees honored Community National Bank for their $500 grant.  They are making a difference in the lives of our students by providing outstanding academic tools for our educators in the classroom. Thank you to Community National Bank for their generous support and by making our community a great place to live.
